August seems to be Bug Month around here - the mosquitoes are terrible, and there are lots of dragonflies, wasps and bees too. Yesterday our dog was stung on her throat and it swelled up like a tennis ball, but today she seems to be getting over it. Unfortunately the bugs have kept me out of the raspberry patch most evenings this week. I picked one container full Tuesday and was rewarded with 20+ very itchy mosquito bites.
Ouch! I hate it when the mosquitoes come. The annoying high pitched buzz when you are trying to sleep and know there is one in the bedroom!!
ReplyDeleteMosquitoes are evil. Love the other bugs, even the stinging bees are needed in some way (although your poor dog doesn't think so) but there's no good point to mosquitoes!
ReplyDeleteWe haven't had nearly as many mosquitoes this summer as usual, perhaps it is because our weather has been hotter/drier than normal.... thanks for the contest info!
