An annual music festival in Edmonton that carries on, rain or shine. (Visiting musicians find this very bemusing.) Bring your tarp, umbrella & raincoat. No whining. Strangely enough, the acoustics are excellent. They've also figured out a way to limit trash ... you pay $2 for a "plate deposit" when you buy food. Then you return the plate (it's a real one, not paper or plastic) and get your $2 back. Of course there are enterprising boys running around with signs "Will Take Your Plate" if you can't be bothered to walk it back to the food area.
There is nothing like a festival in the rain (look at Glastonbury over in the UK - not the same without the mud!!). Great idea with the plates too - paper plates in the rain is never a good thing :-) Take care xx
